MSG Sphere Las Vegas has broken ground

MSG Sphere Las VegasThe MSG Sphere Las Vegas held the ground breaking ceremony on Thursday. Madison Square Garden officials describe the MSG Sphere as a “revolutionary” new live entertainment venue that will plop a massive spherical arena onto the Vegas Strip in 2020. The venue may hold boxing events, but it’s not intended to host sports. Primarily the MSG Sphere Las Vegas will accommodate conventions, concerts and other live events.

MSG Sphere Las Vegas will be located behind the Venetian and Palazzo.

Gov. Sandoval spoke at the MSG Sphere Las Vegas ground breaking ceremony. He stated “An estimated 3,500 jobs during the construction, and then 4,400 jobs, permanent jobs thereafter. An annual economic output of $730 million for our economy.” Nevada schools are due to benefit from the revenue and the MSG Sphere should continue to fuel the state’s important economic ventures and will create more jobs.

MSG Sphere Las Vegas cutting technologies is due to include the following:

  • An LED exterior that is fully programmable, creating a digital showcase for brands, artists, events and partners
  • The largest and highest resolution LED screen on Earth. This more than 160,000-square foot display plane will wrap around the interior of the bowl, creating a visually stunning experience
  • A dynamically adaptive acoustics system that will deliver crystal clear audio to every guest, no matter the size or type of event. This system will utilize a variety of technologies, including beam-forming, enabling audio to be directed to specific locations in the bowl at a near constant volume from point of origin to
  • destination. Beam-forming technology also enables the simultaneous delivery of multiple forms of content – creating a truly customized experience
  • An infrasound haptic flooring system that will convey bass through the floor so that guests “feel” the experience
  • A new architecture for connectivity that will deliver 25 megabits per second for every guest, enabling a broader range of content, greater interaction among guests and more immersive entertainment experiences
  • First-class amenities – from luxurious seating and hospitality offerings for a wide range of audiences, to deluxe, dedicated areas designed specifically for artists

Downtown Las Vegas plans to open Taco Bell Cantina on Fremont Street

Downtown Las Vegas will be adding a Taco Bell Cantina to the Fremont Street Experience. The 24 hour Taco Bell Cantina on the Las Vegas Strip has proven to be such a success. Taco Bell has plans to expand their current flagship Las Vegas Strip location, as well as open a location in Downtown Las Vegas.

According to Taco Bell, the flagship’s expansion adds a brand-new second floor private space with Las Vegas Strip views, serviced by a new second floor bar capable of hosting larger weddings and additional special events. The first floor has expanded the dining area, as well as the kitchen and back-of-house area. Other upgrades include a VIP lounge, DJ booth and state-of-the-art self-order kiosks. The kiosk are designed to ensure a seamless and customized customer ordering experience, all at the touch of a button.

Since opening in 2016, Taco Bell Cantina on the Las Vegas Strip has became the companies busiest location.

The Downtown Las Vegas location on Fremont Street is set to open in 2019.

About the Las Vegas Strip Zip Line

Developed by the team behind the High Roller, the world’s tallest observation wheel. The approximately $20 million Fly LINQ features 10 side-by-side zip lines, capable of simultaneously launching all riders. The Las Vegas Strip zip line experience will be constructed on The LINQ Promenade, the open-air shopping, dining and entertainment district situated at the heart of the Las Vegas Strip.

“Fly LINQ will further establish The LINQ Promenade as a must-visit destination, particularly for distinctive Las Vegas entertainment experiences,” said Bob Morse, President of Hospitality, Caesars Entertainment Corporation. “This new experience will join The LINQ Promenade’s growing number of thrilling and memorable entertainment, dining and retail options.”

Guests are expected to begin their ride experience by taking an elevator designed to provide open strip views from the Vortex at The LINQ Hotel & Casino to the top of the 122-foot-tall launch tower. After enjoying spectacular views of the Strip during the ascent. It is planned that Las Vegas Strip zip line guests will arrive on the launch deck. Where queuing and gear-fitting will take place. Riders can choose to ride in either a “superman” or seated position.

From the launch tower, the ride continues eastward, traveling 1,080 feet above The LINQ Promenade. Las Vegas Strip zip line Riders disembark near the base of the High Roller. To remember their exhilarating experience, Las Vegas Strip zip line guests will be able to opt to purchase professional photos—either individually or as a group—dressed in full flight gear and in mid-air.

Fly LINQ the Las Vegas Strip Zip Lineis expected to feature two automated gear retrieval lines that will keep queues moving quickly by swiftly returning gear back to the launch tower.

In addition, it is planned to feature an innovative, custom-built automated ride system as well as best-in-class technology developed by global leaders in zipline construction.

Fly LINQ is being developed in conjunction with Xventure LV, LLC. A company built by hospitality and attractions industry veterans, delivering the most advanced thrill rides in the most exciting locations imaginable. Xventure specializes in high-capacity adventure rides situated in prime urban locations and Fly LINQ will be its most ambitious project to date. Development and operations of Fly LINQ will be lead by Xventure.

“Xventure is thrilled to work with Caesars Entertainment to give thrill seekers an adrenaline-packed experience in the center of the Las Vegas Strip,” says Joey Paulos, principal and managing member of Xventure.

Fly LINQ will reunite many of the team members behind the development of the High Roller observation wheel. Including Themed Development Management (TDM) as project manager. In addition to the High Roller, TDM’s principals and executives have extensive experience in creating major theme parks and attractions.
